From The Swiss Alps to London, through Europe & the United Arab Emirates to Australia comes the travelling minstrel Philippe the Piano Accordionist.

Philip commenced studying piano at the age of 8 progressing to accordion whilst studing at the Chelsea School of Art.  Tutored by touring Romanian gypsies & Professor Sergio Castelli in Berne, Philippe co-founded the group Mukka, which became well known for its high-powered eastern European gypsy music, and Romanian diva Dana Berciu. The London period also included a live broadcast on BBC World service, a recording session with the legendary John Peel broadcast on radio BBC1, and an appearance at Buckingham Palace for the Queens Golden Jubilee event.

Festival appearances have included Glastonbury, Montreal Jazz Festival, Woodford, and Bellingen. He has written and recorded music for several Films including My ‘Left Ear’, a TV series called ‘The Incredible Adrenalini Brothers’ and TV commercials.
