The children were focused and engaged and the staff was fascinated. Well done!!”

Every student has a drum to play for the duration of the performance!

‘The Spectacular’ is ideal for:

* African, Arabian, Japanese & ‘Music from other Cultures’ study and rhythm extension
* Society and Culture
* Careers Days

The hands-on nature of the High School childrens drumming workshops creates a wonderful opportunity for teenagers to connect and engage, This experience links to curriculum goals around well being, music & cultural awareness.

“Motivate, Inspire, Ignite, was the theme for our Year 11 and 12 Motivational Day and Drum Beats certainly fulfilled our criteria, engaging 190 students with their energetic interactive performance. The sound from the huge collection of drums was amazing. Students were actively encouraged to participate and to lead the group with their own rhythms.
Drum Beats is an unusual but a wonderful way to encourage students to think creatively and to be engaged in the process. It was also a great opportunity to have fun at school.”
Alison Langham, Careers Adviser – Lake Illawarra HS

    Develop Creativity & Resourcefulness.

    See, hear & create rhythms from recycled junk. Great for developing creativity, coordination and environmental awareness. Develop a music program in your school using junk and children’s innate sense of rhythm. A great way to add music on a limited budget.

    For teachers looking to upskill & implement a junk percussion ensemble at school we provide a program to help with this too.

    The desire to hit & vocalise is primal to us all, during these lessons creativity is encouraged as the students work towards a performance piece.

    A focus is placed on relating to students at their level & empowering them to learn & enjoy drumming. From previous experience these lessons have proved to be academically valuable as students have significantly improved with their ability to learn in other areas of schooling.
